![]() While you can book one of the tables or plush velvet banquettes, there’s a room-for-everyone vibe at the living room-esque space (complete with a Chesterfield couch) where the distinguished color scheme includes forest greens and woodsy browns and the deco includes 18th century oil paintings of hounds. You may have to speak an octave higher than normal over the Tears for Fears blasting from the speakers to hear whomever you’re chatting with. Denoted as such by the three co-founders, who met and worked in the Big Smoke, this pub in the Marais is always popping. No you’re not in London, but yes this is most definitely a British-inspired watering hole. Generally, there’s ambient music overhead, but in the evenings there’s live music-either from the grand piano, a singing duo, or even Mike D of the Beastie Boys who spun a late-night DJ set. He added a bit of rock n’ roll to four original chandeliers by draping them with metal chains and the central horseshoe-shaped bar is the perfect stage for the uniformed barmen who occasionally go all Tom Cruise performing tricks of the trade. But the furniture and overall ambiance was given a contemporary facelift thanks to designer Chahan Minassian when the hotel reopened in 2017. Most of the room’s original fixtures remain intact: the soaring slabs of marble walls, the fresco-painted ceiling, the gilded moldings, and the pane-glass windows draped with curtains that face Place de la Concorde. Thanks Tharayut.Located within the remodeled Hôtel de Crillon, a certified palace dating back to the late 18th century, this high-class cocktail joint was created with the intention of drawing in fashionable Parisians, and, as the name implies, ambassadors and other dignitaries. I’m so lucky I met this amazing bartender, and he went out of his way to help me. I say this because he left his bar to help a customer in need which made his colleagues to work hard for the time he was away for the bar helping me retrieve my phone. Thanks to the help of the Champagne Bar team. Guess what he found it though the find my iPhone app. So Tharayut the bartender goes out of his way to help me find my phone. That when I looked for my cell phone and realized I didn’t have my phone. He asked where I came from as he is pouring my drink. And I’m talking to this amazing bartender. I go up to the bar not even knowing I left my phone yet. It’s got the best views you could want to see. ![]() You have to come here and check out this amazing view of Bangkok at the CRW Champagne Bar. But that would be about it.įirst and for most. So if you want to go to this spot and see how cool it is for yourself, you can afford it, go. You couldn't taste anything, not the chicken, not the Champagne, not the sweet scent of my lovely date. Fuel, the damn fuel making the flame made everything smell like a bomb had gone off. The chicken quite dry, a small piece of foie on each skewer, but it was the smell that made everything bad. 20 minutes later we received out skewers dramatically presented on a lava type rock with a flame and all!! a good 15 minutes later we were told 7 more minutes and received an apology. They had excellent creamy insides and paired nicely with our fizz. Crispy and remained so longer than I expected. Finally, the bottle arrives and is served - yum. And you are taking away the opportunity of me ordering more because I will have plenty of Champagne for the whole "meal". ![]() It was taking a bit, then suddenly the fries arrived, and we didn't even have our champagne. If you are going to charge international prices for international foods at your very unique spot, I do expect those high standards, Champagne standards. We selected sweet potato fries, and chicken thigh and foie skewers. I found a champagne I liked, an insider's pick, and it was the highlight. So know you are spending a lot to be here. And that is priced fairly, but they have some premium selections. Essentially everything was very expensive, overpriced, until you get to Champagne, real Champagne. We chose a couch with coffee table set up. We arrived in time to have champagne in hand for sunset. And as you keep going up and around through other venues, you are finally in a little cubicle of an elevator, riding the outside of this skyscraper, and you emerge at the very very top. You go up and up through the elevators of this tower. I believe they had only been re-opened a few days when I visited, it was less than what you would want at the price for sure.
