![]() Now I have fixed piping, new floats, a new control panel that actually works (the old one was so quiet you couldn't hear it unless you walked past it outside), and no more electrical junction box buried in the ground where it gets flooded each time it rains. Check to see if the breaker is turned on to see if there’s any standing water around the septic tanks. Next, double-check the septic system for power. Apparently the connection between the pump and the outlet failed, so the pump couldn't send the water anywhere. The presence of a red light indicates that your water level is likely excessive. The red light indicates that the pump tank is sending a signal to the alarm that the water level is rising higher than it should be. (The overflow happened before all the rain started, btw) I'm going to call someone this morning, but with all the heavy rain in the forecast I'm not sure when I'll be able to have working sewer again. Someone came out and changed the float for the pump, and everything seemed to be working normally, until last night. What would cause that?Įdit: I just checked every breaker I could, and none are tripped.Įdit 2: In case this matters, a couple months ago the pump wasn't turning off even when the pump chamber was empty. The red light on the top of the panel will turn on. The far liquid tank doesn’t look very full at all. ![]() I’ve never had the septic pumped but there are only three of us living here and one is a toddler. So apparently the pump that pumps out to the sewer line (no drain field) isn't running AND the overflow alarm failed. When the grinder pump fails, an alarm will be triggered to go off on your septic systems alarm panel. My septic alarm light is faintly on and flickering but no siren sounds at all. ![]() The aerator is operating normally and the amperage draw is within limits, the motor is. All of the floats are operating correctly and giving the proper alarms. If your pump stops working, the alarm panels red light will blink and a buzzer will sound. I have confirmed operation of both the aerator and the effluent pump to the sprinklers. The pump will turn off after a few minutes. When I manually tested it by pressing the button on the control panel it works. I have a Norweco Singulair aerobic septic system and I have an alarm going off. That's its own problem, but the weird thing is that the overflow alarm wasn't going off. Last night my septic tank was overflowing and running down my driveway (it smelled as bad as it sounds).
