I kinda wish the sniper rifle had a slightly higher ammo capacity but there's got to be a drawback somewhere.įairly badly.Hide at the back, preferably behind Liara, and snipe at the enemy. I love inflitrator! About the only thing that bugs me is that my Shep will insist on pulling out the assault rifle he's not carrying in cut scenes. I apologize for the wall of text, but hot damn I love Infiltrators. It has saved my ass plenty of times, and makes the final stand surrounded by banshees and brutes at the missile truck, much more doable. You can use it to score some serious damage, or to get the hell out of dodge when things start going south. It also makes the Citadel DLC much less stressful.įinally, I believe the tactical cloak is the most versatile class power of all of them. I'll spec my tactical cloak so that I can use one power while it's active, which will allow me to either regenerate shields while cloaked or disable the defenses of a tough enemy so my shotgun blast does more damage. I tend to use Energy Drain just to deal with shields. I usually brought Miranda with me to deal with shields, so having one ammo power to deal with both barriers and armor is a huge plus. I know that kind of contradicts my statement about not using biotic powers, but I just assume that one of my biotic squadmates is juicing up my gun for me. Infiltrators are supposed to be tech trained, so I usually steer clear of biotic powers for my head canon. In ME3 I'll get the Wraith shotgun as soon as possible and dump all of my credits into its upgrades and weapon attachments. Taking out an enemy in one shot balances the need for constant reloading. In the first two games I run with sniper rifles, prioritizing damage above all else. It's unbelievably fun, and it breathes new life into the class after two games of straight sniper work. I equip a shotgun, cloak, run to a flank, and blast away. In Mass Effect 3, I play like a Geth Hunter. In Mass Effect 2, we get access to the tactical cloak, which allows me to snipe and relocate to keep the enemies distracted. In Mass Effect 1, I play in the traditional sense: stay in the back line and pick off enemies. I play the Infiltrator differently throughout the series. I've always enjoyed stealth games, and while Mass Effect doesn't allow for stealth in a sense, it's still incredibly satisfying to face blast an enemy while he's busy looking in another direction. The Infiltrator is my favorite class to play.
